How to Get Your Small Business Online in an Afternoon
You don’t need a big project or a big budget to get online. With a phone and a free afternoon, you can have a real, shareable website for your business by this evening. Here’s the plan.
Before you start (10 minutes)
Gather the essentials: your business name, a one-line description of what you do, 5–10 photos, your address and hours, and a phone number or email. That’s enough for a great first site.
Hour 1 — Build the pages
- Install Owlvo, sign up free and tap New site.
- Start from a template that fits your sector, or a blank page.
- Add the key sections: hero, services or menu, gallery, reviews, opening hours, map, and a contact or WhatsApp form.
- Replace the sample content with your own words and photos.
Hour 2 — Make it yours and publish
- Set your logo and brand colours under Theme & Colours and Logo & Branding.
- Fill in SEO settings so you can be found on Google.
- Preview on phone and desktop, then tap Publish.
Share it everywhere (15 minutes)
Copy your new link into your social media bios, your Google profile, your WhatsApp status and your email signature. Print the QR code for your shop window or business cards so people can open your site instantly.
Level up later
When you’re ready, connect a custom domain, add another language, or invite a team member to help you keep it updated. Everything is explained in the user guide.
By tonight, your business can have a website people can find, share and trust.
